For what had previously been described only as "rehearsal footage" - as if someone was filming rehearsals for people to watch playback and take notes from - the trailer for Sony's forthcoming MICHAEL JACKSON'S THIS IS IT suggests that a great deal of behind-the-scenes footage was being shot during preparations for what was to be Jackson's comeback tour. The doc opens October 28 and is advertised as being in theaters for two weeks only.

Goodness gracious, this thing is going to make a mint. But can/should it be called a doc? Weren't they shooting for a concert film originally? If this is a doc at the end of its two week run how many of the top box office docs will it have out grossed? My guess is all of them combined. Scary.
