Rachel Rosen, who for the past 8 years has Director of Programming at the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced today that she was leaving LAFF and Film Independent to rejoin the San Francisco Film Society, where she had worked prior to coming to Los Angeles. She will serve as Director of Programming for the Film Society, which oversees the city's long-running film festival as well as other events.
indieWIRE's Brian Brooks has the story this morning:
Rosen is the second high profile departure from LAFF in the past 10 months. Rich Raddon, the former festival director, resigned in November 2008 after controversy arose over his contributions to an anti-gay marriage group. Rebecca Yeldham joined LAFF as Raddon's successor in March.
