The juggernaut that is Disneynature's EARTH continued unabated this past weekend, as the film took in $4.3M - more than $1M per day - and became the 8th nonfiction film to cross the $20M marker. EARTH's take now stands at just over $22M, making it the top nonfiction feature of the year thus far (the JONAS BROTHERS concert doc remains just over $19M) and putting it just ahead of Michael Moore's game-changing BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE on the all-time list.
Look for the film to surpass both AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH and SICKO this week, to become the highest grossing nonfiction title since JACKASS 2 in 2006.
